Career Assessment

The Career Assessment page is your job search command center. It gives you a live view of your search activity, how well your profile matches the jobs you've saved, and AI-powered insights about your career.

The page requires at least some profile data (work experience or skills) or saved jobs to populate. If you haven't added anything yet, you'll be prompted to complete your profile first.

Action items​

If there's anything that needs your attention, it will appear at the top of the page as an action item. This includes:

  • Expiring certifications — certifications expiring within the next 90 days
  • Stale professional summary — if you have a professional summary and work experience, but new work experience has been added since your profile was last updated
  • Abandoned applications — applications you started but didn't finish, with a link back to the original job posting

Search Pulse​

Search Pulse tracks your job search activity across four sections. It only appears once you have at least one saved job or some weekly activity recorded.

Application Funnel​

Shows how your saved jobs are progressing through the pipeline:

  • Saved — jobs you've bookmarked
  • Tailored — saved jobs where you've completed a tailored job profile
  • Applied — applications you've started
  • Completed — applications you've fully submitted

Activity Timeline​

A week-by-week breakdown of how many jobs you've saved and applied to over the last 4 weeks.

What You're Searching For​

Shows your top job titles and locations based on the jobs you've saved, so you can see where your search is focused.

Top Matches​

Your top 5 saved jobs ranked by how well your profile aligns with each job's requirements. Each match shows a score, a summary, and a breakdown of strengths and gaps. If you've tailored your resume for a job, the match score is AI-powered — otherwise it's an estimate.

AI Career Analysis​

Once you have at least one of the following — work experience, skills, or saved jobs — Applyology will automatically generate a personalized AI career analysis. This includes:

  • Job Fit — how well your background aligns with the types of roles you're targeting
  • Search Focus — guidance on where to direct your job search efforts
  • Growth Recommendations — suggestions for advancing your career
  • Areas for Improvement — gaps between your current profile and your target roles
  • Skills You Need — specific skills to add, with a link to update your profile
  • Compensation Context — salary context based on your experience and target roles (only shown when meaningful salary data is available)
