Apply to Jobs
With your profile set up and the extension installed, you're ready to start applying. The fastest path is to start from the Employers tab inside the extension.
Start from the Employers tab
Open the extension and switch to the Employers tab. It lists curated companies hiring through the ATS platforms the extension supports — currently Lever and Greenhouse.

- Use the search box to narrow the list (e.g. type
spotto find Spotify). - Tap an employer to browse their open roles right inside the extension.
Browse jobs at an employer
The job list shows each role's title, department, and location.

- By default the list is filtered to US roles. Toggle to All or Remote to broaden.
- Use the search box to find a specific title, department, or city.
- Tap a job to open it. The extension opens the posting in a new tab and switches you to the Apply tab so the action bar is ready.
Save a job for later
On the job posting, hit Save Job in the action bar (next to Start application) to file it away for later. Saved jobs appear in the Saved segment of the Apply tab and on your Applyology dashboard.

Start an application
When you're ready to apply, hit Start application.

Applyology will work through three phases:
-
Capture the page to identify the form fields.

-
Draft your answers from your profile data.

-
Autofill the form in your browser.

Review and submit
Once drafting and autofill are done, the extension shows a Review application view with one card per field. You stay in control of every answer.

- Cards that filled successfully get a green ✓ Success pill.
- Required fields that couldn't be filled get a red border around the input until you fill them in yourself.
- Use Show on page to highlight the matching field, or Copy to grab any value for manual paste.
- You can edit any value before or after filling — Applyology never submits for you.
When every required field is answered, the bottom of the panel turns into a green status banner — "All required fields answered. Click Autofill, then submit on page." — and the action becomes Autofill remaining, which pushes your latest edits to the form. Then submit on the employer's page yourself.

Handle any CAPTCHAs, logins, or verification steps yourself. The extension assists with data entry, not with bypassing employer requirements.
Fill a field on the page
Some fields can't be autofilled — they may be custom widgets the extension can't drive, conditional fields that only appear after another answer, or fields the employer wants a unique answer for. When that happens, the card shows an OPTIONAL: FILL ON PAGE badge with the message "Couldn't autofill this field. Click below to show it on the page and fill it in directly." Required fields that need your attention show a similar prompt with a red REQUIRED badge.
Click Show on page on the card to jump to and highlight the matching field on the application, then type your answer directly into the form.

The progress banner at the bottom keeps a running count of required fields that still need an answer, so you can quickly see what's left before you submit.
Abandon an application
If you decide not to finish a draft, click Abandon at the bottom of the review view. The application is removed from your In Progress list and won't auto-reattach when you come back to the tab.

If the job no longer exists, abandon it too. Employers regularly remove listings — when you reopen the application tab, the job board may redirect you to a generic "Current openings" page instead of the original form, like the DoorDash example below. The application can't be completed at that point, so abandon it to keep your In Progress list clean.

Marked complete automatically
When you submit on a supported ATS, the extension detects the confirmation page and marks the application complete on its own — no extra click needed. The header switches to a green Completed pill and the footer reads ✓ Application completed.

The application moves from In Progress to Completed in the segmented control the next time you open the Apply tab.
Track your activity
The Apply tab has three segments, each with a count of items in it.
In Progress
Applications you've started but not yet submitted (the default view when you open the Apply tab). Each card shows the application title, source domain, and progress (e.g. "32 of 46 answered · 70%").

When the current tab matches an in-progress application's URL, the matching card gets an On This Page badge and the action bar shows Continue application so you can jump right back in.

Saved
Jobs you've stashed but haven't started applying to yet. Each card shows title, company, and location, with an On This Page badge when the tab matches.

Completed
Applications you've finished and marked complete. Each card shows the final progress and the source domain.

You can also view your saved jobs and applications from your Applyology dashboard at any time. The dashboard's Applications page (/c/applications) lists every application with its status — In Progress, Completed, or Abandoned — and when it was applied.

Supported ATS platforms
The extension currently supports Lever and Greenhouse for capture and autofill in Phase 2. Other ATS platforms (Workday and others) are coming as we expand support. In the meantime, you can still save jobs from anywhere on the web and track them from the dashboard.
